A Useful Music Website

Following Andy's request for copyright details for Martin Leckebusch's hymns, I stumbled across a useful website where you can download various people's words and music free, so long as you acknowledge copyright - and some other things are available by email.

Looks useful take a peak at http://www.servicemusic.org.uk/

  • The site you mentioned is a good one - it's run by David Lee and I'm glad to count him as a friend. He has written some really nice tunes, including one or two at my requests.

You could also look at www.jubilate.co.uk where there is a steady stream of new material, or its "daughter" site for songs with integrity and content -
www.resoundworship.org - which is very new.

And if you really want to dig deeper, why not join the Hymn Society (www.hymnsocietygbi.org.uk) or investigate HymnQuest (www.stainer.co.uk/hymnquest) for a huge quantity of new and not-so-new material.
