... the Advent lunches raised £150 for HMF (or my wages, depending how you look at it!), when about 20 different people shared fellowship over four weeks, when it is going to turn into a monthly prayer meeting after Christmas... and I now have my living room back for a couple of days!!

Thanks for the birthday greetings - it was Monday (I'm now old enough to be ordained- ah bless!) Am I being totally stupid but...how did you know that?
Glad to see someone is able to update their blog over this busy period- will do mine shortly now all the essays are in!
May you know the peace of Christ, over this Christmas time...espcially through all the busy services:)
Hi Lucy,
I only knew because it's mine today (I can no longer say 'early forties'!) and a while back we swapped a few commnets on my blog about Chirstmas time birthdays.
Glad you are now old enough to be ordained! As I was already pretty ancient when called to ministry just over ten years ago (i.e. then not quite 35) no one thought about it. Just hang to those words toTimothy - "don't let anyone look down on you because you are young." These words have stuck with me since I was ~15, but I didn't expect to still be the 'youth' element of my church at 45!!
Hi, yea I remember now..Happy Birthday! Hope you're not too busy today are you having a day off?
Thanks for the words of encouragement...I think young and old are all relative depending on who you talk to!
Have a good day.
Day off? Did you not spot the bit in the ordination liturgy where you surrender those!!! I have lunch club Christmas dinner with 60 oldies - but I'm taking a cake, so celebrating a bit.
I now wish I had read your blog BEFORE I called you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
