Evidently this year's Christmas stamps are Wallace and Grommit... and despite it being 'secular' year the pair can clearly be seen singing carols on one of the stamps. Check out Ekklesia website here for more details in a humourous vein. Altogether now, 'While shepherds watched their flocks by night, all eating toasted cheese..."

Reference your comments about Wallace & Grommit on the Christmas stamps, I fear the world is going mad about political correctness etc and not upsetting non Christians with any sign of the true Christmas story. Our local pub already has a 7ft Christmas tree (with lights and presents etc) in the bar. The idea is to encourage Christmas bookings. Worse though is that the pub also runs Psychic Reading nights on Mondays. But even worse than that, last year, our two village churches got together to sing carols in the pub, but we were advertised as 'Seasonal Entertainers' as we were not allowed to portray anything about Christmas! Maybe with the Christmas tree up so early it might be different this year. Mind you, I expect they will have taken the tree down once they have filled the 'Christmas' bookings diary. The same pub is now gearing up for Halloween with staff dressed in 'Rocky Horror' costumes and the theme will be 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. I despair!
